The center bar is a separate piece and can be used on any bed frame. I actually put it on a 4 poster bed with metal support sides and it works great. The basic frame is really nice and sturdy. I can’t figure out how you’d use the center legs that come with it because you can’t get the basic frame high enough to get the leg under it. Otherwise it’s great and holds the mattress set that the bed frame we had would not.

I shopped around quite a bit before making this purchase and I could not be happier with my buying choice. It shipped quickly and arrived well packaged and in good order. The included instructions made the assembly a breeze and I built the twin size for a child’s bed. In the end, it is a very sturdy frame that I am sure will last a long time and will offer some flexibility in being able to adjust to larger sizes as needed.
