awesome product. perfect for what i was looking to do. couldn’t find anything like this at hd or lowe’s. just install the low voltage double gang box and then screw this on. couldn’t be easier. i put one right behind the tv and one right above the trim directly below the tv. looks great.

Good build quality, easy to install with a Dual Gang Low Voltage Mounting Bracket. I’m definitely glad I went with the 2-gang plate as I have about 7 cables going through the wall. Would purchase again.

This is definitely the way to go for cable management when mounting your tv or any other device on the wall. very easy to use (need to get an open backed receptacle box too, similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/Dual-Gang-Voltage-Mounting-Bracket/dp/B000LG3NOI/ref=pd_sim_e_3) and install.
if your installing something where only 1 cord will be going through, maybe the single width unit works, but remember, you have to pass the thick/bulky end of each cable through here while the other cords are taking up space, so its better to go bigger/wider to ensure you have enough room. plus, chances are the unit will be hidden behind your tv and tv stand anyways, so it doesn’t really matter if its wider than usual.
something else to consider when mounting to a basement wall….it will be tricky to get the cables fed from one hole to the next if there is insulation between the concrete foundation wall and the furred out gyp. wall. if this is the case…try tying a washer or two to a string, feed it down the top hole like a plumb bob and tie the end of the cord to it securely and pull it up through the top, then repeat for any additional cables.

Installation was easy. For the DIY, it’s no problem. If you are trying to install your own Home Theater setup and are new to the DIY world, make sure to do a little research before you install this. Ask your local hardware store guy how to install a gang box so you can install this product.

Available in 1 gang or 2 gang size, this pass-through wall plate is essential if you plan to wall mount a TV and don’t want to see wires. Perfect when doing new construction projects (as I am now), this allows you to create a huge conduit between the TV and a lower area on the wall (presumably hidden by furniture holding the components).
Unlike some similar products, this has a flush face from the wall (I’ve seen others that protrude). This allows for a very clean finish and will not interefere with the wall mounted TV or other furniture.
My project is still in progress, but once complete I will post some photos of this in practical application.
Wonderful product!!
